Dear friends and carillon enthusiasts,

Tomorrow (Friday, July 16) is the fifth concert of our summer concert
series! We are proud to present Richard and Gerard de Waardt. Gerard (the
father) is the city carillonneur at several Dutch cities, such as Rotterdam and
Schieden. He also plays the organ at the Immanuel Church in Maassluis. Richard
(the son) has won two first prizes in international carillon competitions in
2008 and 2009, and just graduated from the Belgian Royal Carillon School (where
Eddy Mariën, our first guest carillonneur, teaches).

Richard and Gerard will be playing a series of solo and duets, including
arrangements of several famous dances, such as Brahms' Hungarian Dance and
Grieg's Norwegian Dance. They will also be playing pieces from the Godfather
soundtrack.
