I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to join the Executive Board
of the Connecticut Butterfly Association. My responsibilities will include
collecting field notes on butterfly and moth sightings in the state. I am
particularly interested in tracking flight times, i.e., early and late dates,
and species abundance.

I very much look forward to receiving your reports. I will continue to
monitor this list serve, which is proving to be an excellent source of
sightings for the state. Alternatively, I can be contacted directly either
via E-mail or "snail" mail. My address is listed at the end of this posting.

Please note, despite the recent stretch of cold weather, the butterfly season
is not over yet. Orange Sulphur should be flying well into December and
other species might occur. I am very interested in any butterfly sightings
anyone might have through the end of the year.

Sincerely yours,

Lenny Brown
