Least skipper-3
unidentified skipper pending further review- John H. and I examined a
very fresh female skipper that we believed to be a clouded skipper. We
agreed on the field marks and agreed that it was not Zabulon or Long
dash or Hobomok. However since I got home to check my references it
seems an unlikely find. I don't see a record in the Atlas Project and
the flight period is August and later when the butterfly migrates from
the south so some doubt about our ID has crept in. Fortunately John took
photos and maybe someone can examine them.
