Green Cloverworm Moth

At Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge today, one of the rangers found an inactive
Noctuid on the ground outside the visitor center. I checked it out and found
that it was alive. I recognized it as a Green Cloverworm Moth, even though
its markings were not fresh. Does that suggest it was overwintering in the
adult stage?

Later I went to Floyd Bennet Field, Brooklyn and found another individual of
the same species, this one well marked and quite active when I tried to
approach. This was during the morning, when it was still on the cool side
(50 degrees at best). Also at FBF, I found two species of flowers in
bloom -- Common Groundsel being one that I recognized.

I saw something flittering about in video from Guantanam Bay. Great Southern
White, maybe? Notice how often Turkey Vultures get into those videos.
