Butterfly Sightings

On Saturday, Saturday, July 31st- I visited Fresh Meadows Sanctuary  in 
Cheshire and found a total of 26 species of butterflies.  The  list for the day is 
as follows:
 
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (5)
Spicebush Swallowtail (3)
Cabbage White (53)
Clouded Sulphur (7)
Orange Sulphur (5)
American Copper (1)
Banded Hairstreak (1) (very worn)
Juniper Hairstreak (2) (second brood)
Eastern Tailed Blue (7)
Summer Azure (1)
Variegated Fritillary (1)
Great Spangled Fritillary (2)
Pearl Crescent (45)
Eastern Comma (2)
American Lady (1)
Common Buckeye (3) (a rare species at this site)
Viceroy (6)
Little Wood Satyr (1)
Common Wood Nymph (4)
Silver-spotted Skipper (1)
Wild Indigo Duskywing (5)
Peck's Skipper (17)
Tawny-edged Skipper (9)
Crossline Skipper (1)
