Butterflies seen today in Salem, Lyme and Old Lyme.
Swallowtails: Eastern Tiger, Black, 12-15 at Griswold Point
Sulphurs: Orange, Clouded, Cloudless
Cabbage White
Eastern Tailed blue
Pearl Crescent
American Copper
Painted Lady
Monarch, Tagged 3 at Griswold Point.

No Pipevine Swallowtails have been seen in Lyme this fall. It looks like a
combination of spraying, construction and possibly the appetite of the Pipevine
caterpillars may have destroyed, at least temporarily, the population
there. The Aristolochia seems to be recovering from the spraying and
construction, I found 15- 20 plants there today, in the area that was most heavily
damaged.
