Lighthouse Point Park Buttterflies

Saturday, 8/19- Bill Banks and I visited Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven  
where we found a total of 16 species of butterflies.  The list for the day  is 
as follows:
 
Black Swallowtail (3)
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (1)
Spicebush Swallowtail (3)
Cabbage White (18)
Orange Sulphur (11)
Clouded Sulphur (3)
Red-banded Hairstreak (1) (very worn)
Gray Hairstreak (1)
Eastern Tailed Blue (6)
Variegated Fritillary (1)
Common Buckeye (3)
Monarch (25)
Silver-spotted Skipper (2)
Fiery Skipper (1) (female)
Zabulon Skipper (3) (1 male, 2 females- This is a new species for the  
butterfly list for the park)
Broad-winged Skipper (8)
