BioBlitz- Brooksvale Park, Hamden

A team of CBA members found 23 species of butterflies on the BioBlitz held  
at Brooksvale Park in Hamden on 6/9 & 6/10.  The species list is as  follows:
 
Pipevine Swallowtail
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
Spicebush Swallowtail
Cabbage White
Clouded Sulphur
Orange Sulphur
American Copper
Eastern Tailed Blue
Great Spangled Fritillary
Pearl Crescent
Red-spotted Purple
Question Mark
Little Wood Satyr
Monarch (caterpillars)
Silver-spotted Skipper
Northern Cloudywing
Wild Indigo Duskywing
European Skipper
Peck's Skipper
Tawny-edged Skipper
Long Dash
Hobomok Skipper
Zabulon Skipper
 
In addition, a number of species of moths were seen including a Bumblebee  
Clearwing.
