Sound Red Admirals

Red Admirals have been very numerous on Long Island. Not only are they
everywhere that you stop to look for butterflies, but they are
continually visible in flight as one drives along. Generally, they were
heading north this past Saturday. So I didn't have to tell you to be on
the lookout, Frank. You found them.

Regards,
Steve Walter

7/2 While on the Mijoy 747 fishing boat from Niantic,
CT to the Race (near Great Gull Is., NY), there were
huge numbers (60+) of Red Admirals winging by over LI
Sound.

Many Common and Roseate Terns, but no seabirds seen.
