CBA Bent-of-the-River trip

About a dozen of us enjoyed uncharacteristically fine June weather on this annual trip - 23 species of butterflies found. 

  Sunday, June 29 CBA trip to Bent-of-the-River, Southbury:

  Tiger Swallowtail 
  Spicebush Swallowtail 
  Cabbage White 
  Clouded Sulphur 
  American Copper
  Eastern-tailed Blue
  Great Spangled Fritillary 
  Eastern Comma
  Question Mark 
  Red Admiral
  American Lady
  Red-spotted Purple
  Viceroy
  Common Wood Nymph
  Northern Pearlyeye!!!!
  Little Wood Satyr 
  Monarch 
  Silver-spotted Skipper 
  Southern Cloudywing 
  Least Skipper
  European Skipper 
  Peck's Skipper 
  Dun Skipper

  An Eyed Click Beetle was found in the grass in the upper meadow.  Singing Hooded Warbler and Orchard Oriole were nice to come across, too.
