Sightings at Lighthouse Point Park

On Saturday, 8/14 I joined Lenny Brown at LHPP in New Haven. Lawn areas and
native vegetation were very dry, resulting in most of our sightings
occurring at the CBA butterfly garden, which is watered frequently. We
observed a total of 18 species of butterflies. The list for the day:

American Lady (20)

Painted Lady (5)

Common Buckeye (10)

Red Admiral (2)

Clouded Sulphur (6)

Eastern Tailed Blue (1)

Broad-winged Skipper (25)

Sachem Skipper (3)

Silver-spotted Skipper (1)
