5/21/10 - Naugatuck Industrial Park - light winds and warm temperature
brought lots of activity - both butterflies and deer flies. List:

Wild Indigo Duskywing many, easily the most numerous species

Peck's Skipper numerous
Tawny-edged Skippper 1
Dusted Skipper 1
American Copper 2
Pearl Crescent 1
American Lady 2
Red Admiral 2
Little Wood Satyr 2

I've seen Red Admirals everywhere the last few weeks in the Waterbury area,
about 40 at East Rock Park, New Haven, and a dozen flying north up in
Woodstock. When was the last big invasion of this species in CT? I read
somewhere that 2001 was a good year.
