Old Lyme

11\14  RED ADMIRAL at  Yellow-bellied Sapsucker holes on an apple tree near White Sands Beach in Old Lyme.  Today is the third day in a row that I have seen them there. There were two admirals on the 12th and 13th. Also, there were many shiny blue flies at the holes and I'm not sure of the ID.  I have a picture that has both the butterfly and the flies that I will send on request.
