Tuesaday afternoon around 3, I went over to Harkness Park in Waterford. If
you haven't ever been there it is a beautiful park, always one of the last
to be hit by frost. The Dahlia garden was full of all kinds of the most
beautiful and huge flowers that I've ever seen in one place. And the heliotrope
garden was still holding out...smelling like vanilla.

There were still hundreds of Monarchs all over the flowers

Many American Ladies
One Painted Lady
Many Clouded Sulphurs
A few Cabbage whites
One Gray Hairstreak
But no Black Swallowtails which I ususally see there.

There were many birds there also..warblers galore, Egrets, Cororants, and
one Osprey

Oh yeah, one I saw one pair of Monarchs mating..they flew into a tall tree
