Wimisink preserve - Sherman

On Monday, July 11, 2011, Greg Hanisek and I spent time at the Wimisink Preserve in Sherman, checking butterflies for the Land Trust.

We found the following:

Black Swallowtail... 1
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail... 1
Cabbage White... 1
Summer Azure... 1
Great Spangled Fritillary... 3
Pearl Crescent... 2
EYED BROWN... 12   (my first of the year)
Monarch... 1
Silver-spotted Skipper... 1
Least Skipper... 1
Delaware Skipper... 1
Hobomok Skipper... 1
DION SKIPPER... 1   (my first of the year)
Dun Skipper... 4

Also seen were several dragonflies and 1 Snowberry Clearwing Moth.
