Is it not possible that a butterfly, in this case a Monarch,  could be carried northward early - much the way a wide assortment of neotropical migrant birds appeared well before normal in April?

Hi Rich - I think someone (Frank Mantik?) had one at the end of April.

I wonder, though, about the possibility of it being a release. Jeez - it's bad enough we have to worry about that with birds...
