Lenny,

I was in Guilford yesterday...Things are VERY slow...Not much of anything flying; no Hairstreaks, not many Swallowtails and NO Giants...A few Sachems and Fiery Skippers at a garden center in Guilford on Rt. 1...A couple of Hackberry Butterflies at Spencer Creek (one very worn) - MAYBE a Tawny Emperor at Chaffinch, plus a couple Snouts there...and the usual assortment of "Junk Bugs" plus a LOT Painted Ladies and Monarchs...That's about it...

Was REALLY disappointing and hardly worgth the trip (and the gas)...

Alex

After seeing the weather forecast, I have decided to cancel today's field trip to Guilford.

Conditions are not going to improve enough for butterflies to be flying by 10:00 AM, the scheduled start time for this field trip.
