...but it is a Giant.
 
A smaller size Giant Swallowtail this afternoon around 1:30 clinging to  
some plants a few inches above the ground. Initially it struggled  to take 
flight with wing tips that were not fully formed but has  now taken flight.
Interesting, there is a Rue plant within a foot of where the butterfly was  
first seen. Some references show Rue as a host plant in the north. I did 
have a  Giant in my yard last summer.
Could it be that Giants are using Rue here in CT and will it mean a new  
over wintering butterfly for CT?
