After all the rain the butterflies seemed ravenous and were out in force
this afternoon.  Who would have thought that we would see Pine Elfin and
Great Spangled Fritillary in the same day?!

Eastern Pine Elfin -- nectaring on a non-native white Iris
Eastern Tailed-Blue
Great Spangled Fritillary  -- 2
Pearl Crescent -- everywhere, but fading
Baltimore Checkerspot -- about 30 cats
Anglewing sp. -- probably Eastern Comma
Red-spotted Purple
Viceroy
Little Wood-Satyr -- everywhere
Common RInglet
Silver-spotted Skipper
Southern Cloudywing -- 2
Northern Cloudywing
Juvenal's Duskywing
Wild Indigo Duskywing
Least Skipper -- fresh and beautiful
European Skipper -- many
