Though I would certainly never release them into the wild, I wonder how many teachers would do just that out of ignorance and the desire to set them free. I'm not say that the observed American Lady butterflies aren't wild, but I imagine a lot of classrooms in Connecticut are/have raised butterflies this year.</span></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1460586729047_95178"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1460586729047_95178"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1460586729047_95375">A number of years ago, I had a fairly rare dragonfly in my classroom (the species escapes me at the moment).
