<div style="font-family:Cambria,Georgia,serif,serif,EmojiFont; font-size:16px">I'm looking for examples of tone splits conditioned by vowel height, or of vowel height as a mechanism in tonogenesis. The only case I'm aware of is the Angkuic language U (described
in Svantesson 1989), in which<span style="font-size:12pt"> high level tone split, remaining high level in syllables with high vowels, and becoming low in syllables with non-high vowels. Does anyone know of any</span><span style="font-size:12pt"> other examples? </span></div>
