SENIORS! EXTERNAL FELLOWSHIPS FOR STUDY ABROAD!
The American-Scandinavian Foundation offers fellowships of up to
$20,000 to individuals to pursue research or study in one or more
Scandinavian countries for up to one year. Awards are made in all
fields. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and
must hold a bachelor's degree by the start of the award

The Frank Huntington Beebe Fund provides
fellowships for gifted young musicians, generally performers and
composers in classical disciplines, who wish to pursue advanced music
study and performance abroad, usually in Europe. The applicant must
develop a strong, well-planned project of study that will enhance his
or her life in music. The fund does not usually support university
study unless such study is an essential part of the proposed project.
Eligible are students who have completed at least a bachelor's degree
and for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad.
The stipend of the award is approximately $15,000. Additional

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers year-long
fellowships to graduating seniors for study or research in Germany.
Applications in all fields are accepted, with the exception of

NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIPS support three years of
doctoral study in the social sciences, sciences, mathematics, and
engineering. Applicants may pursue graduate study at an institution
in the United States or may affiliate with a foreign institution. The
awards include an annual stipend and a cost-of-education
allowance. The current stipend is $30,000 for 12-month tenure. A
$1,000 International Travel Allowance is also available.
Application deadline: November 1 - November 13, 2006 (exact date
dependent on field of study or specialization; see web site for details).

YEAR-LONG COMPETITIVE INTERNSHIPS/FELLOWSHIPS FOR SENIORS
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace annually selects
approximately eight to ten graduating seniors to participate in the
Junior Fellows Program. Designed to provide a substantive work
experience for students with a serious career interest in
international affairs, the Program matches junior fellows with senior
associates - academics, former government officials, lawyers and
journalists from around the world - to work on a variety of
international affairs projects. These positions are full-time and
include a salary and benefits package. All fellowships begin on
August 1, 2007 and last approximately one year.

NOTE: The choices for the essay question will be posted on-line shortly.
The Luce Scholars Program supports year-long internships in Asia for
promising college graduates with little or no previous experience in
Asia or in Asian Studies. Eligible are seniors, alumni, and
graduate/professional students in all disciplines. U.S. citizenship
is required. Yale may nominate up to three candidates to the national
competition. An application packet (including instructions for the

New York City Urban Fellows Program is a nine-month fellowship that
combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with an intensive

governments. Eligible are graduating seniors and recent graduates no
more than two full years out of college. Stipend: $25,000 and paid
health insurance. Housing is not

YALE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SILVER SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Silver Scholars Program is designed
especially for college seniors to earn an MBA
directly after graduation. After completing the
first year of the core MBA program, Scholars
participate in a one-year extended internship.
They then return to campus to complete their MBA
courses. In addition, select Scholars will be
awarded a one-half tuition merit scholarship for
each of the two academic years.
