for a student visa - <b>no matter what program/university you are

complicated for many countries, and students need to plan further in
advance than in the past. IES strongly advises students participating in
ANY IES program that requires a visa to NOT leave the U.S. for any
international travel before their program begins. If a student must be
out of the country more than a couple of days immediately prior to the
program start date, there is no guarantee that the consulate will process
the visa in time for the student’s departure. It is important for
students to understand that all consulates process visa applications
according to the start date of the study abroad program and not according
to personal travel plans."<br><br>
