the Week...
Can I receive credit for non-Yale summer
study abroad?
It is possible for students to get up to
two credits for summer study abroad, if they do not plan on participating
or have not already participated in the official Year or Term Abroad
Program. However, while credit for Year or Term Abroad (non-Yale)
programs is dealt with in IEFP and is virtually automatic, summer study
abroad credit (non-Yale programs) will be handled by your residential
college dean, and the DUS of the department relevant to the courses taken
while abroad. IEFP will sometimes be asked to review the
transcripts in these cases, but you will primarily be working with your
dean and the DUS(s). Please refer to the section "Credit from
Other Universities: Rules on Credit from Outside Yale" in YCPS
