language!</i></b></font><font size=3> If you started a language and
have met the L3 requirement, don't stop. Keep taking the language
so that you complete at least L4 level before studying abroad in a
French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, German, Portuguese speaking country --
you will need to have completed a intermediate level for Yale's
requirement, and some programs/location require that you have completed

funding can be used for summer study abroad (Yale Summer Session Abroad,

abroad programs), and UCS Bulldogs Internships, while

used to cover your student income contribution if you win a Yale
fellowship for a summer abroad activity. <br>

<font size=3>If you want to explore your options abroad -- for academic
year and/or for summer -- make sure to schedule an appointment to meet
with an advisor in IEFP. We offer walk-in hours as well as
scheduled appointments. Give Pam a call at 432-8684 and she will
schedule a time for you to meet with an advisor (we don't schedule
appointments by email, so please call!). If you want to get the
student perspective on study abroad, check out the peer list on the study

2008-09<br><br>
</b></font><font size=3>BUTEX is now accepting applications for its North
American Scholarship Programme 2008/09! The Scholarship is open to
all undergraduate students currently registered at an institution in the
USA or Canada. To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a
place as a study abroad or exchange student in a UK university which is a
member of BUTEX (British Transatlantic Exchange Association) for the
academic year 2008/09. <br>
<br>
The value of each scholarship is US$1000 and will be paid to the winners
once they have arrived and registered at their host university.<br><br>
