For me it was the first time I was attending Kinemaclub Conference and it has
been a great experience I'd like to repeat in the future.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

lang=EN-GB style='font-size:10.0pt'>The discussions were very interesting, but
I'd like to share with you one of the questions that came out (from a Japanese man
whose name I don't know, but that may be someone there can remember...). It was
the last day in 70/80/... Panel: He noticed how in Japanese animation you can
recurrently find the question about "human being". Well, I've been
thinking about that, and didn't find an answer but may be a clue: animation, at
the end, is a kind of text with a higher level of abstraction that, for example,
real <st1:metricconverter ProductID="35 mm" w:st="on">35 mm</st1:metricconverter>
image doesn't have (it's the same for documentary). <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><font size=2 color=black face="Courier New"><span
lang=EN-GB style='font-size:10.0pt'>From this point of view, if we agree that "human
being" is a philosophical question, and being Philosophy too a kind of
thinking with a higher level of abstraction, we can concur that animation is, a
sort of text that, given its facility to represent abstract thoughts, maybe, it's
a good medium to think about human being.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><font size=2 color=black face="Courier New"><span
lang=EN-GB style='font-size:10.0pt'>I would say, to incorporate more subjects
to the debate, that animation works very well too with unconscious, dreams,
etc., as we saw in one fantastic animation movie in Nippon Connection: <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>Paprika</span></i>.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><font size=2 color=black face="Courier New"><span
lang=EN-GB style='font-size:10.0pt'>And one proposal to Kinejapan owners, that
