Tetsuo: The Bullet Man is a co-production between Tsukamoto's company Kaiju Theater and Asmik Ace, was shot in and around Tokyo over quite a couple of months with a very small and very young crew. Lead actor is American newcomer Eric Bossick, a Tokyo-based actor/photographer/butoh dancer. It's a new story that adheres to the Tetsuo universe but also features some interesting continuations of themes and ideas from Tsukamoto's recent films (notably Vital and Haze).

Tom

> Date: Fri, 31 Jul 2009 01:30:34 +0900
> From: eija.niskanen@gmail.com
> To: KineJapan@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
> Subject: Re: Venice Lineup
>
> As far as I understand, the third Tetsuo is a U.S. remake with
> Tsukamoto directing.
