There is curious study group devoted to workers’ cinema and I’m not sure announcements have passed by KineJapan. I thought I’d put it out there and if anyone’s interested they can check it out....and report back!<BR>

It’s organized by Sato Yo, who one of the people behind the recent reprint of the middle chunk of Kinema Junpo. Yo-san has been doing some important programming and writing along these lines, and some excellent oral histories with people like Matsumoto Toshio and Makino Mamoru. <BR>

Incidentally, I was at Makino’s house a few weeks ago and he showed me the first release of the KineJun reprint. Hot off the press. I’ll write about it in a later message. <BR>
