Its owner commissions a painted panorama every once in a while, in a domed building in West Adams. The last one was Arctic-themed. There was a show on arctic spectacles, tours & panoramas, after which "whale blubber," of a leathery Jello-shot sort, was served, to the accompaniment of fiddle music (as I recall). Her research themes include interaction between media technology and Japanese culture such as utsushi-e (Japanese traditional magic lantern shows), and Device Art, a project she pursues with artists and engineers using the latest digital technology.
