I find it troubling that some members should so heavily criticize KineJapan. As someone fairly new to the field, I have found this listserv immeasurably helpful in broadening my knowledge of the subject and similarly gaining access to resources I otherwise would not have. To my understanding at least, this listserv was created to facilitate scholarly debate between academics in the field of Japanese Cinema and to inform interested parties of news and events relative to the field. With the exception of a few messages regarding very specific requests that might have been better sent off-list, I find the majority of messages informative and often times quite insightful. Anyone who can't appreciate that must be misinformed about the intentions of this listserv, and I for one would welcome their unsubscription.

Rob Buscher

Date: Tue, 19 Jan 2010 23:38:46 +0000
From: armandnjosie@hotmail.com
To: kinejapan@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
Subject: RE: GB print Sho wo sute machi ni deyo
