                                                                Film &amp; Media Studies<br>

The Program in Film and Media Studies at Washington University in
Saint Louis seeks to fill a one-year lecturer position in Film
&amp; Media Studies. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position
for academic year 2010-11. There will be a teaching requirement of
three courses per semester at the undergraduate level.<br>
<br>
The successful applicant must be qualified to teach courses in film
history, theory, and criticism. Preference will be given to
candidates who have their Ph.D. in hand, and who have the ability
to teach courses in world cinema, film theory, race &amp; ethnicity
in film, or television studies. We particularly welcome
applications from scholars with strong interdisciplinary interests
who have expertise in one or more of the following: feminist or
queer theory, African-American film, documentary film, Japanese
film (including anime), contemporary issues in media industries, or
avant-garde cinema. Review of applications will begin on March 31,
2010, and continue until the position is filled.<br>
