Thank you Mark for pointing out the vagueness of my e-mail : well, these "notebooks" were written after december 1959 ( what is the date of the first one : the other ones, if not dated, were probbaly written during the first months of 1960), and give us a record of Oshima's thinking from<i> Ai to kibo no machi</i> to <i>Seishun zankoku monogatari</i> (what is that "next film" I was referring to). <div>

Somebody more knowledgeable might be able to pull Oda-san's career details out of their hat, but meanwhile I think we need more information -- "his next film" is a bit vague. Do you mean Oshima's next film after "Cruel Story of Youth"? Or the next one after the publication of "Sengo eiga hakai to sôzô" in 1963? Do you have a title? What is the context here?<br>

My copy of "Sengo eiga" is packed away, but my recollection is that many of the essays are dated. If so, what is the exact date of the "notebook"? Did you, uh, check that against Oshima's filmography to infer a title?<br>
