<div>Hi all,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Just a comment about this posting, it is interesting to see that Darthmouth is willing to invest in Korean Studies, my own alma mater Berkeley had a difficult time cobbling the Korean Studies department together and I heard that it has kind of disintegrated with California's budget cuts. In fact they had a petition earlier this year to try and rescue East Asian language classes; I heard that Korean was going to be axed almost completely.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Is it just a California public school state problem or is interdisciplinary Asian Studies facing the same problem across the States?</div>
