<html><body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><div>Pudovkin was a favorite of the Prokino crowd. I'm pretty sure his work was mostly translated while the movement was active (1929-1934). Check the Waseda Library catalog for book and they'll probably come right up. NDL, too. </div><div><br></div><div>But a lot of this was published as articles in the wing journals. The Prokino journals are nicely indexed so you ind this quickly. Others are harder to find. You probably need to troll the indexes. Luckily, most of the extent journals are now in your library! Makino has almost all of them. But those are also reprinted online in the reprint collection he and I did before they packed everything up and sent it to Columbia (Google Proletarian Makino Nornes and it will pop up).</div><div><br></div><div>This is a fascinating project.
