musicals, no one has yet mentioned <EM>Hodo no Sasayaki (Whispering
Sidewalks)</EM>, a 1936 musical directed by the famous leading man, Denmei
Suzuki, and starring Betty Inada, a Nisei singer from Sacramento, and Saburo
