films by Ichikawa Kon deal with this and others make allusions. There are
also misrepresentations, including <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: sans-serif; "><i>Kyūjyūkyū-honme
no kimusume</i></span>, which conflates the burakumin with the
Ainu.</font></div>

with Ian Neary last year, and he recommended the book 'Racial Representations in
Asia'. Although this has now appeared in a number of US libraries, it still
hasn't appeared in the UK. The publishers don't have a contents list, only
a very unhelpful blurb, and the author, Yasuko Takezawa has not responded to
emails.</span></font></div>
