<div dir="ltr">I am often asked how one can watch The Effects of the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Until now, it was impossible to see anything but a poor copy at Yamagata (the one I shot on Hi8 video off a flatbed screen at the National Archives in 1990). Thankfully, Nichiei has finally put out a DVD. And it's not even censored! It is bilingual (original English soundtrack with Japanese subtitles). The ISBN is 978-4-86308-282-3 and it costs ¥4,800. By all means get it for your library! The digital conversion is not great. But it's certainly better than nothing.<div>
