Dear KineJapanners,

On August 7, the Foreign Correspondents' Club in Yurakucho is screening Sion Sono’s gonzo new film “Tokyo Tribe,” followed by a Q&A with Sono and his three young stars Ryohei Suzuki, Young Dais and Nana Seino. An adaptation of the mega-bestselling manga series “Tokyo Tribe2” by Santa Inoue, the rap musical gives nods to “West Side Story” and “A Clockwork Orange,” and Sono goes deliciously overboard with his visual and aural assault. But there’s a message in there somewhere!

Since FCCJ is a private club, you must reserve your seats through Karen Severns: kjs30@gol.com.

Also don't forget to reserve seats for next week's screening of Shingo Ota's "The End of the Special Time We Were Allowed," on July 24: http://goo.gl/aUFtch
