<p class="ydp2203ae6eMsoNormal" style="margin-top:6.0pt;layout-grid-mode:char;mso-layout-grid-align:none">Please excuse the parochial appeal but large-scale cuts at SOAS library
have been announced, including half of all subject librarians, of which I understand
the actual selection has not yet been made.</p>

<p class="ydp2203ae6eMsoNormal" style="margin-top:6.0pt;layout-grid-mode:char;mso-layout-grid-align:none">As a lowly external reference user, I have found Fujiko Kobayashi always
incredibly helpful, even though it can be quite hard to find her behind the
pile of books to process. I feel there must be other members who have benefited
from these services either directly or indirectly.</p>
