werden rund 18 aktuelle Dokumentarbeiträge aus den Sektionen<em>
Wettbewerb</em>, <em>Encounters</em>, <em>Panorama</em>, <em>Forum</em>,
<em>Generation</em>, <em>Berlinale Special</em> und <em>Perspektive Deutsches
Kino</em> für den Berlinale Dokumentarfilmpreis nominiert. Eine dreiköpfige Jury
entscheidet über die Vergabe, das Preisgeld von € 40.000 teilen sich
Regisseur*in und Produzent*in des Preisträgerfilms. Die Auszeichnung wird im
Rahmen der offiziellen Preisverleihung am 29. Februar 2020 im Berlinale Palast
vergeben.</p>

engagieren sich die Internationalen Filmfestspiele Berlin für den Dokumentarfilm
und dokumentarische Formen. Das zeigt sich sowohl im Programm der verschiedenen
Sektionen, Initiativen und Sonderreihen als auch im <em>European Film
Market</em> (<em>EFM</em>). 2019 wurden rund 100 Dokumentarfilme und
dokumentarische Formen beim Festival gezeigt. Der Berlinale Dokumentarfilmpreis

Documentary Film Award will be endowed with € 40,000 in prize money sponsored by
public broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb). Thanks to the support from
rbb, the award for the best documentary film will also be presented at the
Berlinale in the future. Starting in 2020, rbb media will be involved with the
festival as a co-partner. The partnership is agreed for five

Berlinale Documentary Film Award. A three-person jury will choose the winner and
