  * MUSIC REQUESTS AT THE BLUE DOG CAFE / (02-02-2009  )/
Come add a song to the request list at the Blue Dog Cafe, or add a 
check mark to one already on the list. The most-requested songs will
be added to a Blue Dog playlist. After the playlist is made you'll be
able to make song requests at the Blue Dog! The Blue Dog is open M,Th,
F 8:30am-5pm; Tu, W 8:30am-8pm.

  * GRAD STUDENT'S GUIDE TO GAINING A DEGREE WITHOUT LOSING YOUR MIND

elementary and junior high SCIENCE FAIR. Find out how to get involved

  * CAITIE'S ARTS AND CULTURE TIP OF THE WEEK
New music by a Yale composer: Come hear Bresnick's Concerto for Piano
 and Percussion with Lisa Moore and So Percussion, among other works.

Blood donors needed!  Contribute at the Harvard-Yale Blood Donation
Drive at the Payne Whitney Gym from 1-6 pm from February 2 until the
6th.  CT needs 650 pints of blood everyday and only gets about 550.

Beginning on Saturday, February 7, 2009, the weekly Children's Story
Hour held at The Yale Bookstore each Saturday will begin at 10:00 am.
To inaugurate the new storytime, Clifford the Big Red Dog will be the
store's guest. (Clifford will also be at the store on Sunday,
February 8 at 2:00 pm.) Bring your camera to get a picture with
Clifford! Enjoy stories and refreshments. Located at the Barnes and

Excited about the super bowl?  Even though it is tempting to stuff

a bit healthier. Take a walk before the game to get some exercise and

Monday will feel a little better, and you won't have to wear your
elastic banded pants to lab/class/ life.

  * SERVICE TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY / (02-06-2009 )/
The Chaplain?s Office is running a trip on February 6-7 to work with
YSOP in New York.  The project will include preparing a meal for
homeless people, meetings with direct service people to learn more
about homelessness, sleeping on the floor overnight, eating simply,
and direct service in small groups in multiple sites around New York.

The McDougal Center will be hosting Grad Night at the Opera on Friday
February 13 for the opening performance of Yale Opera's production of
DIE ZAUBERFLOTE ("The Magic Flute") at the Shubert Theater.  Visit

of a timeless classic features graduate singers and orchestra
musicians from the Yale School of Music in a new production built at
the Yale School of Drama.  Tickets are only $13.00 and can be
