Explore New Haven's signature park by boat! Join us for an hour-long
afternoon canoe trip on Mill River in East Rock Park! Certified
instructors will provide training on basic paddling techniques and
wildlife observation skills. We will meet at the HGS courtyard to
head over to the boat launch in East Rock Park together. $3 ticket
(+ service fee) covers boat and equipment rental fees. Costs
partially subsidized by McDougal Graduate Student Life. Please wear
weather- and exercise-appropriate clothing. Adults only-No prior
canoeing experience necessary!

for a look at some New Haven buildings and the buildings that
inspired them, from ancient Egypt to Versailles to mid-century New
York, as part of the Festival of Arts and Ideas. We will end the

camp traditions? "Trails & Tales" kicks off with a hike
to-and-through East Rock park followed by a shuttle trip back to the
HGS Courtyard where we will enjoy light "summer camp" themed
refreshments and swap scary stories around a roaring urban campfire.
Come for one or both parts of the night and don't forget to bring
practical footwear and sun-screen! 21+, family members welcome to
the campfire portion of the evening (7:30pm-9:00pm at HGS
