WEEK-LONG YIDDISH TEACHERS' SEMINAR AT YIDDISH-SPEAKING MULTI-GENERATIONAL
SUMMER CAMP
FULL STIPENDS to participate in PEDAGOGY WORKSHOPS at YUGNTRUFS
YIDISH-VOKH (August 25-31 2009)
Up to 10 participants who currently teach Yiddish classes or groups for
adults or children will:
* DICUSS issues in pedagogy with active Yiddish teachers
* TEACH model lessons to participants in the yidish-vokh
* ENRICH their knowledge of Yiddish language and culture by taking part in
yidish-vokh activities.
* ENJOY a week in New York's scenic Berkshire Hills.
Stipends will be awarded to up to 10 participants to cover the fees of the
yidish-vokh (room and board).
The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Secular Yiddish Schools in
North America, Archival Collection at Stanford University Libraries
