Subject: Death of Dr. Joseph Sherman

 

I received the notice of the passing of Dr. Joseph Sherman of Oxford

University Judaic Centre and I wish to share this with our colleagues in

Jewish Studies. This distinguished scholar originally from Johannesburg,

South Africa passed away in Oxford after suffering a long painful illness.

The funeral is supposed to take place in Oxford this Wednesday. [Sorry: too late for this posting. Untershames]
