Dear Mendelyaner,

The Paris Yiddish Center-Medem Library in Paris (france) is preparing an 
exhibition, opening in March 2012 with the title "Utopies of Yiddish", 
dealing with Jewish colonazation projects (Ukraine in the 19th century, 
and in the 20th century : Argentina, Crimee, Birobidjan, Palestine, 
frayland-lige's projects in the US and in Surinam, etc.)
We are looking for all kind of documents (pictures, letters, official 
documents, video) and testimonies (if somebody rememeber about his father 
or grand-father speaking about his own experience) about those issues.

Submissions to regular Mendele should not include personal email 
addresses, as responses will be posted for all to read.  They must also 
include the author's name as you would like it to appear.

In order to spare the shamosim time and effort, we request that
contributors adhere, when applicable, as closely as possible to standard 
English punctuation, grammar, etc. and to the YIVO rules of
