Yiddish of Greater Washington's Cafe Kasrilevke begins a season of 
wonderful programs with an evening dedicated to the late and truly great 
literary figure Avrom Sutzkever

Sunday January 23 7:00 pm to honor his work and his memory, on his first 
yortsayt, with a performance of works by Sutzkever (1913 - 2010). The 
program includes biographical comments by Professor Max Ticktin, readings 
in Yiddish and English, and poems set to music.

$5 Members of YGW, JCCGW, Arbeter Ring; $8 non-members


February 27 3:30 pm

Lively multi-talented duo Sruli and Lisa perform virtuosic klezmer music, 
classic Yiddish songs, Hasidic music and dance everywhere from Jerusalem 
to Cracow, Montreal to Albuquerque, and now .... Rockville!

Sruli and Lisa are on staff at KlezKanada and regularly teach klezmer and 
Yiddish music in the Workmen's Circle schools. They have been called 
"Superb musicians!" by the LA Times.
