Mendele Personal Notices and Announcements

June 29, 2013

To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:

1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.

2. Send material as plain text to victor.bers at yale.edu as plain text
(no HTML, other coding, or attachments and write MENDELE PERSONALS in
the subject line.

3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has
posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

I'm looking for the full text of Peretz's "Di Goldene Keyt".

The text may be in yjddish, because I suppose that a version in polish or
other European languages does not exist...

I am particularly interested in the last part of the drama.

I know only the polish translation of 3 verses quoted by Michał
Zylbelberg in "Wspomnienia o Januszu Korczaku", Nasza Księgarnia 1981, p.
266-267:

"I tak idziemy, rozspiewani, roztańczeni...
My, wielcy, wielcy Żydzi (..) i nie prosimy,
i nie żebrzemy, jesteśmy wielcy, dumni Żydzi"

Best Regards Giovanna Tomassucci (Un. of Pisa, Italy)
