Mendele Personal Notices and Announcements

To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:

1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.

3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted
the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.




There will be a YIDDISH CONCERT in Boston, Saturday, November 1 at 8:00 PM.
at  the Workmen’s Circle,  1762 Beacon St. Brookline, MA.
The concert will feature the Fish Street Klezmer and Mira Kessler.
Suggested Donation $8.00; Students and Workmen’s Circle members: Suggested
Donation $6.

Fish Street Klezmer is a Boston-based Klezmer and Yiddish Song duo
featuring Cantor Ken Richmond on Violin and Guitar, Rabbi Shira Shazeer on
Accordion and Mandolin and both on vocals. Shazeer is founder and director
of The Jewish Birth Network <http://www.jewishbirthnetwork.com/>

Richmond is cantor and family educator at Temple Israel of Natick
<http://www.tiofnatick.org/>.  They have produced 1 CD, *Intoxicated:
Yiddish Songs of Love and Drinking* and 3 Yiddish-speaking children.

Mira Kessler grew up speaking Yiddish in Durham, North Carolina. She has
performed Yiddish music in Durham and New York. She is a junior at Brandeis
University. This is her Boston debut.

The concert is sponsored by the Workmen’s Circle of Boston and Yidish in
Goles – Boston, directed by Sheva Zucker and Lillian Leavitt.
