and Andre Perez, a Native Hawaiian activist who will speak to the links <br>between
the fight against GMOs in Hawai`i and the struggle for Hawaiian land, <br>sovereignty and self-determination.<span style=""> </span>The
genetic modification of taro, known to <br>Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) as kalo,
forces an examination of cultural issues <br>relating to this traditional Hawaiian
