style="mso-spacerun: yes"> C</SPAN>urrently Assistant Professor and
Director of Women and Gender Studies at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Northern</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Arizona</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University,
s</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>he has recently accepted an Assistant Professor
position at the <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Colorado</st1:PlaceName> – <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Boulder</st1:place></st1:City> in the Ethnic
Studies department specializing in American Indian Studies.</FONT></P>

scholarship examines race, gender and science with a focus on Indigenous
cultures.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>She has completed
research with Indigenous populations in the <st1:country-region
w:st="on">U.S.</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region>, and <st1:place
w:st="on">Africa</st1:place>.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Her
book, tentatively titled <U>Our Responsibility to Medicine: Indigenous Women’s
Understanding and Doing of Medicine</U>, is being considered by the <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Arizona Press</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>.<SPAN
